The Fluffy Fashionista- Converting to Cloth!

Hello Friends! I know what your thinking... cloth diapers? Are you nuts?!

Yes the Hays family will be converting to cloth as soon as our "fluff" as my instagram moms call it arrives! After a ton of research and support from my virtual mom friends I decided to take this unexpected and exciting journey to do something great for my child. Not only will it save us more than $1000 a year on diapers, diaper pail liners, wipes, etc. but they will be so soft on our little Hays' hiney!

Just so we are clear... I am not talking about the old school white cloth diapers with safety pins that our grandmothers used...these are so functional with snaps, adorable fabrics and inserts. We even ordered flushable, biodegradable liners so there is no poo handling involved!

Other benefits of CD: Children can potty train up to a year sooner than those that are in disposables.. SCORE! There is less of a chance of diaper rash, no late night diaper runs, and did I mention you save $$$$?

Here is a little CD anatomy lesson:

Now that we know Cloth Diapers are better for baby, you and the environment of course, lets check out some CD style, because you know if I am going to put Kinslee in them... they have to be fashionable!

These are a few of the diapers we ordered from Alvababy.com. They range from 5-6 dollars each! We ordered a pack of 20 for $96 and then 5 additional solid colors, 10 extra inserts for $25 and 200 flushable liners for $12 They ship express for FREE from China if you order 20 or more.

Now you cant deny that these are adorable!

Sunday I will do a review of an Etsy cloth diaper retailer so make sure you check back in!
